Review: Woken Furies

Woken Furies Woken Furies by Richard K. Morgan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I cannot not give a Takeshi Kovacs book 5 stars. Instead maybe the second, which I gave 4 stars, but apart from that it still stands :D

I think this is my favorite Kovacs book. It just feels as he is much more confident, much more at home on Harlan's World (because he is). Also, I always loved the Quellist quotes and stories in the previous novels and it was finally really fun to get to know Quell and Quellism a little better.

I struggled with the text at times, but that's probably because it's a bit over my language skill at times (I'm not a native English speaker).

The writing is really, really good, even poetic at times. The world-building as good as ever. Plus Takeshi is back and causing a lot of mayhem. What else would you want?

Read this, if you haven't already.

I really recommend this to anyone. (but probably read the first two novels in the series first)
