Review: Exit Strategy

My rating: 3 of 5 stars
I base my scores on the official Goodreads guidelines, meaning the 3 stars I gave this one means I liked it. The first two parts of the series got 4 stars from me, but with Rogue Protocol, I started to feel like more about giving it 3 stars and the feeling remained with the final story.
I like Murderdbot and I think it's still really fresh and a really well-executed viewpoint. The writing is really good too, I found a lot of shareable quotes throughout the series which are really witty and hilarious.
But somehow I felt myself a little distanced from the world and the human characters in it. Also, I found it hard to follow what the protagonist's motivations are and why he (it?) acts the way he (it?) does.
But still. I don't regret reading this series. Also, I've just learned that there may be a full-sized novel in the making, and if that happens, I sure will be pre-ordering it.
So, if you started reading the series, don't abandon it now.
