Review: Autonomous

Autonomous Autonomous by Annalee Newitz
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I gave this one 3 stars because I liked it. It was brilliant in a number of ways, still, I liked it pretty much, but not loved it. I liked the whole world the author built, with all the political, social and scientific dilemmas, not to mention human rights issues concerning robots and humans alike. But I think that the main focus of this novel, and why it is praised in most of the reviews is the gender issues. And I was the least interested in those. Don't get me wrong I'm a liberal thinking person, but this is not something I look for in a sci-fi novel. So I appreciate it's importance, but still, it took away from the potential fun.

Still, it's a great read, I recommend it to any generic sci-fi readers and the fans of Asimov's robot novels.
