Review: Born a Crime

Born a Crime Born a Crime by Trevor Noah
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I listened to this one as an audiobook. I figure non-fiction and biographies are working for me in this format, and I always thought it's best if the author is the narrator as well.
This was a shocking, but really interesting experience, listening to all this. I've never known too much about apartheid, and listening to all these first-hand experiences about the inequalities built into the system made a really strong influence on me.
And it remained through the whole book, maybe just a little bit easing up in the last third of the book.
The only slightly negative thing I may mention is the strange intonation the narrator used when trying to impersonate kids or people shouting. That was a little bit annoying to me sometimes.
But otherwise, I don't have a huge experience concerning biographies and autobiographies, but I think this one is definitely one to read/listen to if you are into the genre.
