Review: Sins of Empire

It has been some time since I read the original Powder Mage trilogy, but I remember I really liked them and therefore I instantly pre-ordered Sins of Empire as soon as it turned up on Amazon. But somehow I waited until now with reading this, because, you know, there was always something getting ahead it in the list like there was series' to finish and other pre-orders arriving, and such. And now, I'm really glad I waited because I really like how this new trilogy starts, and I love the characters, old and returning and I think it won't be too much of a spoiler, but as the first book in a trilogy, the story ends on quite a cliffhanger. And because I waited I now only have to wait until May for the next book, which is almost bearable.

If you liked the original Powder Mage trilogy or at least the universe it's set in, you should definitely read this one as well. I may say that up to this point, this is the best Powder Mage book.
