I really liked this book. This is one of the first 5 star reviews I gave out this year and I think this one really deserved it. I started reading after I watched all the episodes in season 1 of the TV series which was made based on it (basically it seems that the first season of the show covers the first half of the novel). So, I knew what was going to happen and STILL it was a joyride. A really fun read with great writing and complex but likeable characters. I am now moving on the the second book in the series and the few reviews I read beforehand tells me it's even better then the first one. I cannot really believe how is that possible at this point, but I really hope I won't be disappointed.

The Silence of the Lambs by Thomas Harris My rating: 5 of 5 stars I've read this book like 3 times when I was a teenager, but apart from the main plot I only remembered that I loved it very much. I think I didn't even know at that time that this was the part of a series. Now though I intend to read the whole series in the "correct" order so after finishing Red Dragon, I re-read Silence of the Lambs as well. Even though some memories came back during reading it was still a very exciting and enjoyable experience. Thriller and horror and not my main go-to genre, but I think Hannibal Lecter is one of the best villains of all time. I totally recommend it to anyone, even if not having read Red Dragon.
